GAME DEV PROJECTS
Wishbone is an inadvisably complex farming sim-slash-character drama that is currently [REDACTED] years in the making and made in collaboration with Kwillow. It features a cast of over sixty unique NPCs and focuses on the unfolding story of outlaws and lawmen fighting for control over a shabby little desert town.
The player character-robbed by an outlaw group known as “Mike’s Gang” before they even set foot in Wishbone–stands to determine the town’s fate by choosing who to side with. What kind of Wishbone will be born from your choices?
When you’re not embroiled in cowboy drama, you do farming stuff. Raise livestock (while occasionally defending them from rustlers) and grow crops in a complex custom system that RPG Maker was really never, ever meant to support. Yet, it works anyway.
Selectively breed livestock for better quality outcomes, including horses with better specs to compete in the horse race minigame. Did I mention the minigames?
Yeah, there are a bunch of minigames. And many, MANY other custom systems including dynamic custom shop menus with rotating stock that varies by season and a house-decorating minigame.

The game also has a development blog here on Tumblr with screenshots, videos, and more information, including years’ worth of monthly development updates.
Theo’s Big Adventure is a COMPLETED game I finished in 2014. It started as a joke to amuse/torment Kwillow, who I had a crush on at the time, then increased in scope when I found that I could embarrass her more by making it real.
Theo’s Big Adventure follows Theo, a reclusive weirdo who lives alone in his now-empty family manor. He doesn’t like to leave the manor and has extremely little patience for anything else.
I mean it. Balancing Theo’s delicate nature with the taxing nature of running minor normal errands such as going to the post office is the name of the game. Along the way, he has to avoid things that will drain his energy extra fast, such as being barked at by dogs, stepping in puddles, standing near smelly garbage, and, perhaps worst of all, being spoken to by strangers.
Though, of course, things start to ramp up and get a little weird a couple levels in…
Theo’s Big Adventure was built in RPG Maker 2k3 over the course of a year and three months. The sprites are largely ripped from Mother 3, though I would like to remake the game with all-original graphics and sound someday. A basic playthrough of the game takes about an hour to an hour and a half to complete. There is also a New Game+ mode, a secret area and ending if you collect the sparkly Thing hidden in each level, and several sidequests (with rewards!), all of which will add more playtime. It is playable on Windows machines only (sorry!)
